Math |

1. |
All learners will know their number facts. We will use flash cards, timed tests, or other methods to practice. | ||

Learners will pay close attention during lessons and will ask questions when needed. | ||
|
3. |
Learners will study hard for tests. | ||

4. |
Learners will complete all assignments and turn them in on time. | ||
|
5. |
Learners will form study groups or find study buddies when we need help learning. | ||
|
6. |
We may also get help from teachers, parents, and siblings. | ||

Reading |

Learners will challenge themselves by reading books at the upper end of their ZPD | ||

2. |
Learners will read at the 5th grade level or beyond by May 2003. | ||
|
3. |
Learners will work expand their vocabulary through many activities including, but not limited to, content area and novel studies. | ||
|
4. |
Learners will read a minimum of 30 minutes each night and enter reading into reading logs. | ||
|
5. |
Learners will discover the meaning of words they do not know and write them in their word discovery journals. | ||

Writing |

1. |
Learners will become better writers by practicing the 7 Traits of Writing daily. | ||

2. |
Learners will brainstorm ideas before starting to write. | ||
|
3. |
Learners will read, edit, revise, and rewrite. | ||
|
4. |
Learners will look up words to ensure proper spelling. | ||
|
5. |
Learners will write in complete sentences in all subject areas. | ||

Helping Each Other |

Learners will be willing to be study buddies to our classmates. | ||

Learners will be supportive of each other's successes and struggles. | ||

Learners will remind each group member of homework and upcoming due dates. | ||

Learners will use the Daily Planner help keep organized. | ||

Learners will celebrate improvement! | ||
